Some of the most beautiful family photos aren't taken during golden hour—they're captured during blue hour, just after the sun has dipped below the horizon. That's exactly when I met Megan and her three wonderful girls for their family session, and the soft, dreamy light created the perfect backdrop for timeless portraits.


Blue hour has a quiet magic to it. The harsh sunlight is gone, the sky takes on beautiful shades of blue and lavender, and everyone can relax without squinting into the sun. It's one of my favorite times to photograph families because it creates a clean, natural look that lets your family's connection take center stage.
